Happy September 1st everyone! We are officially 20 days away from the start of Autumn, the most glorious season of the year……………… and I’m posting about beachwear and swimsuits?
Before you all swear off Wolf & Stag forever and think me insane, there is a method to my madness! Firstly, Stag and I are off to a last-second beach holiday with his family in September, and I am in desperate need for some cute beachwear. And secondly – wait for it, this is an amazing frugal buys tip – this is the best time to buy swimwear and beachwear for next summer. Why, you ask? The sales are at their bottom, no one else is buying swimwear, and chances are whatever you buy will still be in style early next SS season. YOU’RE WELCOME.
Without fail, I’ve always had bikinis for the summer, usually some mismatching number that squeezes in all the wrong parts and that I’ve probably held on to since high school. Recently, I’ve been questioning whether I should give this swimwear thing a bit more thought, in my attempt to resemble something of a Bond Girl meets Blue Crush cool. Clearly, neither of those visions will emerge, but I can at least get swimsuit-cover-up combo sorted.
Swimsuit: George at ASDA (nearly sold out — size 12 here is too big for me and, sadly, getting returned)
This year, feeling a bit more self-conscious about my body as of late, I’ve been toying with this idea of taking the plunge to the one-piece. Less middle-age and more Bond Girl, there has been a recent resurgence in the one-piece swimsuit, suiting every taste and shape. Some of my favourite other bloggers have been rocking these (has anyone seen Julia Engel’s beautiful number on GMG?), so why not give it a try?

As usual on a Friday Finds, I’ve been scouring the internet for days so you don’t have to. Most of these are in the sale (some aren’t), and all are just untrendy enough to last a few seasons. Enjoy!
