Featured Image by Sarah Langtry. Part 2 of the Wolf & Stag Stocking Stuffer Gift Guides are here! A day (well, night) late because I had Stag’s work Christmas party last night, and I clearly didn’t listen to myself when I said now don’t drink too much tonight because you need to finish the stocking stuffer post. HAH. Right, in case you missed it, you can read Part One on the blog. This edition is a bit more personal, covering gifts for the Wolf (aka, for her), gifts for the Stag (for him) and for the foodies in us. Truth be told, I would happily take any of the items from all of the lists *ahem Stag if you’re reading this wink wink*.
In Part One, I discussed why I love stockings at Christmas so much. In this part two, I want to chat about where to buy your stocking stuffers. I will always try to shop from local, independent retailers if I can (if you’re interested in that kind of thing, I’ve written a whole post about independent interior shops).
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, Trouva really is your best friend in that department. It’s a treasure trove of items from all those cute shops you find around town but never write down the name for. All in one place! Although the filtering and search functions could use some work (frustrates me every time), the product selection is unrivalled.
However, sometimes it’s unavoidable to buy from chains or bigger brands, and some of them I really do love. Oliver Bonas is great for secret santa and stocking filler gifts, as are John Lewis, Kikki K (for stationary), Cult Beauty (for beauty finds) and Not On The High Street (for food).
And a tip for conquering these huge companies: most will have a ‘Secret Santa’ or ‘Stocking Filler’ category already put together for you. Just search in the ‘gifts’ tab, and remember to filer by price — you will often find that stocking stuffer is just code for “small item”, rather than “actually affordable.” Diamond rings fit in a stocking — just saying.
