Featured Summer Bag: Wood/Grey Round Woven Bag
Totally unrelated introductory text: Have you ever had that all-encompassing feeling that you are so behind with everything that the thought of trying to catch up feels like it may swallow you? So instead you opt to watch The Kissing Booth on Netflix like you’re 17 while stuffing your face with chocolate? Because procrastination is a sweet, sweet release?
Yep. That’s me right. Just hanging out in that zone. I haven’t read another blog post in weeks, let alone written any, and honestly, trying to catch up on it all is nahhht going that well. Gulp.
But this is all besides the point, because you are not here to read the ramblings of a Future Crazy Cat Lady (or are you?). You’re here for a summer bag edit, and by George, you will get one.
So, I don’t know about you guys, but I’m excited about Summer. Maybe because it’s our first in California, or maybe it’s because Stag and I booked ourselves in for a total-relaxation Vegas trip in a few weeks. (HOLY MOTHER OF DANCE WE NEED THIS). But compared to Eire in Spring, Eire in Summer feels — hopeful. Excited. We took our first warm-weather trip to Sonoma a couple of week’s back and getting that first sun-drenched taste of warm days ahead.
If you’ve been considering taking steps to have a more ethical and sustainable closet, summer is the best season to start.
Needless to say, the arrival of summer comes for me like a ton of “Oh Shit I have Nothing To Wear for Warm Weather” bricks. (Fashion blogger over here *waves*). I’ve been donning my Wood/Grey round basket bag since forever, and although I’ll wear it to its death, I’m craving something new.
If you’ve been considering taking steps to have a more ethical and sustainable closet, summer is the best season to start. Compared with winter, the floaty floral fabrics, natural materials and effortless cuts of summer fashion are easiest to create sustainably. This means you can find a huge crop of offerings from eco brands at this time of year, many of which are just as affordable (if not more so) than your regular high-street brands.
So, if you’re like me and desperate for that new summer bag or beach bag, look no further than my highly-researched edit below. And, if you’re even more like me (twinsies), you’ll be oogling alllllll the natural fibres. BE STILL MY BEATING HEART.

Eco Summer Bags & Beach Bags: My Little Black Book
I’ve been doing a lot of research into finding which summer bag and beach bag brands are sustainable, ethical, and (mostly) affordable. Much to my surprise, there are a lot of options to choose from, even from some major retailers you probably shop at already. Here is a (tiny!) selection of some of my favourites. Happy (sustainable) shopping.
